Is anyone else having a problem with the keyboard shortcuts in Safari not working after a short period time of using the browser? For some reason my keyboard shortcuts stop working after a while. Nothing I don't have any problems with anything else, just the keyboard shortcuts. A restart of the browser fixes it. Is anyone else seeing this?

Or put the harddrive in a external enclosure and hook it up to the imac. The Mac has no problem reading from a windows formatted harddisk. Good luck!!

Always set up Boot Camp before the VM solution you are trying to share that install with.
Check out the "install windows from USB" and "install windows without super drive" for an approach that uses Parallels to copy the files onto the partition, prepares it for boot and then completes the Boot Camp install normally.
Once that's working go back and launch your Boot Camp in parallels.

Steve Rosenbaum needs to learn how to use spell/grammar check. I've come to expect "loose" instead of "lose" and other spelling/grammar errors in forums, but this is an article on the Huffington Post. I got a little more than halfway through before I had to close the tab.

After you zap the PRAM, and the PMU it wont work? I recommend what someone else said, you could play with the RAM and see if that makes any difference but really it doesn't look good for that iMac.

hmm... Im interested... My free trial doesnt run out until August, will this just extend the free trial? Or will it work after Dot Me is released?
All .Mac accounts, even trials, get converted to MobileMe when it is released. If you buy an account, it will become active and expire one year from the day you entered the code (not one day from the end of your trial period, unless you enter it on the last day of your trial).

Isn't the L shaped strip just covering the RAM? is the HD accessible directly below the battery, though I haven't upgraded the HD in my Macbook...
No, the L shaped strip covers the RAM bays (behind the long section) and HDD bay (behind the short section) as can be seen in this extract from Apple's guide,

I've heard that they are very similar. The aftermarket parts are chinese knockoffs and one can expect a lower quality than an OEM white backplate but unless you compare then side by side you most likely won't see a discrepancy.

Hi,
I live in a rural location where the only internet available to me is through HugheNet Satellite services. Because the set up costs and monthly charge are so high ($500 + shipping for dish + installation costs; $80/month) many of us who live close have opted to share the service. We are on the top tier plan which affords us 425 Mbps/day total download/upload. Once we are out we have to wait 24 hours for it to become available again. My question is there a way to monitor which computers are using the most internet? We are on a closed home network. All computers are Macs and we have two Airport Base Station Extremes to broadcast signal.
Thanks, Tim

Thanks, I was aware of that option.
I realized dashcode needs a serious overhaul, to allow it to become a html css javascript editor.
I wouldn't say it needs a major re-do, it already does syntax highlighting.
Anyways, just start a new project. You can then view, open, and edit the individual files of the project by hitting :apple:3

I guess this is good news, although it would be nice for the US to get it's priorities straight on gay rights first.
No kidding. :p It would seem very hypocritical for us to tell others to treat gays equally when we sure as hell don't.

You can partition your hard drive using Disk Utility and then install Windows onto the new partition. Just remember to name the partition into something that you'll recognise easily during the Windows install, such as BOOTCAMP, and format it as MS-DOS.

I installed dual video cards in my 06 Mac Pro a couple of weeks ago and the GPU/HDD fan runs at higher RPMs continually now. I'm guessing its just the mac pro increasing airflow to prevent overheating.
