What time is the new FCP being shown? Will there be a live or after event stream? I was able to use the current version in a school class two years ago and I'm interested to see how it's going to change... Can't afford it today, but someday I'd like to replace iMovie with it.

If I worked there I would have stopped it. The employees there handled that situation the wrong way. They should have at least separated the people fighting. They didn't do anything besides saying stop. What is that going to do?

As the girl was White and the workers and attackers were Black, is there any chance that may have played a part in not helping her? You know, it's not out of the realm of possibility that race may have been a factor (at the same time, racism against whites is rarely spoken of).

If they add the "word processing mode", then that simultaneously renforces my gripes with it (see other threads), then negates them.
It's an extra step in setting up a document, but I like the thought of it from a productivity standpoint. As long as there's no Clippy.

I'll be heading to Spectrum myself. I've got to pick one up for my wife. She thought she'd be happy with my first gen iPad until she started playing around with my white Verizon 32GB.
Fortunately, for some reason, Spectrum sounds like was much less of a mess than Brea. 2/3 of the people in line on launch day were disappointed.

I think getting a white backplate and keeping the black front is the best of both worlds. That white front looks ugly and disoriented with an obvious front cam and that black PS (looks like sharpie has been applied to the mesh grill original design), and when the screens off, looks even worse.
I'll stick with mine :)

I've been trying to find the "brochure wizard" (specifically the flexible page/quadrant location feature) that you talked about in MS Word (I have the latest version and updates). I would find it very useful, but can't locate it. Can you tell me how to find it?
1) New>Project Gallery
2) Click on the New Pane on top.
3) Choose Business Forms.
4) Choose Brochure.
5) Choose a template that doesn't suck.
6) Wonder why brochures are listed under Business Forms.
7) Pray that you don't need more than a 6-column brochure on one double sided-sheet of paper.

I mean really, this is BEYOND picky. No wonder us Apple users have a reputation for being douchebags.
I hadn't even NOTICED this until now, and now that I have, I'm not really sure why I'm supposed to care. Honestly, if it's a choice between fixing this and putting more development resources into iOS 5, I much prefer the latter.

EDIT: I wanted to add that I'd rather my app launch faster than for time to be wasted playing a silly animation. Based on how fast the app comes up, that may be what's going on here.

1. It wasn't present or an issue in iOS 4.0 to 4.2.

I'm going to assume it doesn't mean that you actually control the thing without touching it, rather it just makes the wheel disappear when you aren't holding it. That seems to be a more useful idea.
I mean, otherwise, it's a useless feature, except to prevent screen scratching.

I'm guessing 'yes' simply because I think "Because they want it to be in the fall" is the one reason for moving it that makes the most sense to me. I think that's the whole point.
3) Does this affect the timing of iOS's release, which has traditionally been released with the new iPhone and has been centered around the iPhone's hardware?
I have less reason to believe it, but I sure hope that iOS 5 still comes out in the summer. I'd like to see iOS updates divorced from hardware updates, just like it is with the Mac.

Just called up my apple retail store.
The stocks are not in yet. They just noted down my number and will call me once they get it.
I am sure i am 1st on their waiting list as i called them up at 9:05am! :D
