i'm experiencing glitching when playing video.
mostly .avi on vlc - the video will stop for a second, pixelate for a few seconds then go back to normal.
i was experiencing some glitching in safari as well (shortperiods of beachballs) so i upgraded to a momentus xl hard drive (500gb 7200rpm hybrid) and now i have no issues remaining except the video.
i'm on a c2d white macbook, 2.4 ghz and have just done a clean install of snow leopard.
machine is running great with the new drive but if anyone knows what the hitch with videos might be i'd appreciate the insight - thanks.

I used to have a program on my Mac that would let me play an audio file and it would let me highlight a moment of time and tell me what note is being played. This was really handy for figuring out bass notes that are too difficult for me to normally here.

The only thing they NEED to upgrade to stay current is dropping a dual core A5 into the iPhone, and maybe NFC.
In every other respect iPhone4 is just as good as the best phones coming out this year.

It looks good. The size increase is really interesting, but the odds of it gaining major popularity across Europe and the US is not very likely as the cars sold in Europe and America have always been amusingly different and almost complete opposites. I bet the Passat will also see the Chinese market as well. VW has had diesels for year (as has MB) and I see a lot of them chugging along.

Warranties transfer, but they (of course) run out a year after the original purchase date, not the resale date.

I'm about to replace the hard drive in a 17" iMac G4 800. When I take the old one out (80 GB Ultra ATA 100), will it be able to work in a Power Mac G4 "Sawtooth" (AGP)?
Just not sure about the technicalities of HD backward compatibility. I think the drive in the first drive bay is an ATA/66.
