Sweet!! :D :D I guess I have OCD...I usually stick to the intended burning speed just for the same reason you won't push it...cost and having to end up with coasters! I hear you on those crazy prices.
Yeah, I want DL media prices to drop. But I'm sure once that happens, the MPAA will step in and complain, because the DL media makes it so much easier to copy movies. Rip, and burn the VIDEO_TS folder with Toast. None of that time consuming encoding. Not that that's what I did with the DL media I bought ;) But the higher prices of DL media, plus a movie rental, makes it almost the same price to just buy the actual DVD. Get DL prices down to a buck or two, and I think Blockbuster's business will boom

Unless someone else is footing the bill, try NeoOffice. It's free (donation requested) and is an Office look-alike. I use both NeoOffice and Pages, and they each have their strengths and weaknesses. But you might find NeoOffice does a better job in this case than Pages.

Yeah I noticed a 30 second downtime, you almost scared me there. ;)
Anyway, are there new features, bug fixs anything I would find intresing, if you have a link that would be great.
Thanks. Keep up the good work! :D

Could be the title-safe/overscan area. With standard definition footage, there is a an area all around the image that tends to be cut off by televisions. There isn't really a whole lot you can do about this.
If you're familiar at all with the print/design world, it would be similar to designing with "bleed" (the extra color that extends beyond the 'cut' lines so you don't end up with white edges along your cuts)

Does CS3 have bridge? I can't quite remember.
Yes, it does, although it was a resource hog. Although I use it at home for freelance work, I've found that in some studios in the UK, it's not widely used, with some preferring to drop a lot of PDFs or images onto Preview, of all things instead, because it's so fast.
Working with Bridge in the 'approved' manner in an entirely CS-based workflow takes some getting your head around it when you've been used to working with a workflow that's been based on QuarkXpress practices.
Anyway, not sure what's wrong with funter's eps; I hope we find out at some point.

I have about 80gigs left on my Macbook Pro, but I have about 100gigs of raw footage that needs to be edited. I tried putting them on an external hard drive and importing direct from there, but FCP doesn't even recognize that the hard drive is in there. It is FAT formatted and everything.
If FCP has to access it, the external HDD has to be formatted with "Mac OS Extended (HFS+)", as FAT32 is not supported by FCP and even has a file size limit of 4GB (per file).
Original raw footage is 30 minutes and 30gigs large. I took a 15 second snippet and it was an estimated 4gigs. The math just doesn't add up here.
It adds up, as your "RAW" footage is probably using H264 or another MPEG-4 codec to store the video, and FCP wants its footage in either ProRes (can be 100GB for one hour of HD video) or Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC - up to 50GB for one hour of HD footage).
Therefore get another external FW800 HDD (if you have FW800 on your Mac), which you can safely format in "HFS+" via Disk Utility, or format your existing external HDD with "HFS+", if possible as formatting will erase the contents of the HDD.
Maybe you can partition it though.

How long does the keynote last? Since it doesn't start here until 5pm :(
Best thing to do is just watch it in the morning, or the next day at least.

Excellent - Thanks...I would not like to see any network provider name engraved on the iPad!
It is very unlike Apple to have any non-Apple logos on their devices. When they started using Intel chips, they never had an "Intel Inside" sticker. They also never had an AT&T logo on their iPhones and do not have Verizon logo on their newer iPhones.
Thankful for that! I just find the plastering of stickers and logos, typical of PC and linux boxes, very distasteful.

the truly funny part could come 15 years from now when his Football teammates are sending his picture all over the clubhouse with silly captions attached to it.
Cute little guy ... is that just one tooth he's got on the bottom?
That would be pretty funny, yep, thats one little tooth. Tooth came in about two weeks ago, its funny looking. One lonely tooth.

Who the f are Google and Verizon to decide what the future of the internet should be may it be negative or positive. Laws need to be sanctioned to block these companies from privatizing the internet, and keep it neutral without question. Why are there even talks about this.

Yes. Parallels allows you to use the Bootcamp partition as a virtual machine. Create a new VM, and you will see an option to use Bootcamp as the VM disk. I believe it's described fairly well in the Parallels documentation.
The only caveat is you can't suspend, as you would a standard VM (with disk virtualized too).
When you restart your Bootcamp install natively, it will configure itself to use native hardware. When started through Parallels, it will configure itself using virtualized h/w. Also, the first time you start Bootcamp Windows through Parallels, it will automatically install drivers that Parallels needs.

The Diamondbach is $200 think I will spend that money on something else LOL. I could see maybe $125 for a full chrome version but chrome is not even a option.
Also I guess they dont make a full chrome Atomic bumper either seems like I saw a pic of one at the site but its not an option for purchase only that trim piece oh well.

You might be better off waiting to see what Apple releases later this year.

I have the USB mouse from MacMice and it is great. I do remember several users complaining about the Bluetooth one in an other forum. Try a search and you should be able to find it with no problem.

Someone should make a program just for you? ;)
I would hardly say it's *just for me* The SETI@home FAQ says this:
Q: Is there an OS 9 client?
A: SETI@home can run on computers that have System 7.5.5 or higher installed. See the download page for the Classic Mac client for other system requirements: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/mac.html.
However, the link is broken.
