Seems like it's just invisible updates (ie. behind the scenes bugfixes). I don't see any new features.
So the nasty ical is still there? I hope that goes away; it's horrible looking on the desktop. With limited real estate on the screen, all that extra stuff just takes up space...
EDIT: Just looked at the screenshot from Dev. Prev. 2. It doesn't take up much space, actually, but it still seems out of place on an app that might share a screen with other apps. Part of the beauty of OS X is that many of the apps look alike, and there's not a lot of mixed up UI elements.

I you have 4 cores, use all for of them, if you have only one proc (with 2 cores) then use only two. Don't use the graphical client, it slows down a little bit... Also I don't think it can handle multiple cores.

Ordered my first ever iMac yesterday, 27'' top bto, with i7, and 2gig graphics. Cannot wait.
I have spare ram from one of my macbooks, 2x 2GB modules, but they are 1033?, would they be compatable?

Busted woofer surrounds sound like cracking and flapping on loud bass. Blown tweeters just don't work and make the speaker sound muddy. I'm not sure what hissing is. Could be an amp issue. Try switching speakers to see if the problem moves with the suspected bad one.
THIS. cross check to isolate the issue to the spaker or amp. it could be that u badly damaged the amp section for that particular speaker out on your receiver. This is rather unusual because most modern receivers have a protection mode that limits wattage in order stop overdriving. but such safeguards can only do so much; if it was being driven for hours, it could have easily been damaged.

It might be this
.content a:hover {
color: #422d1c;
border-bottom: 1px solid #ff8598;
background: #ff8598;
}
Change the border bottom value.
Mind you the above DIV issue is more likely to be the problem.

does that mean the windows partition is still active in some way?
The boot loader is still looking for it. There's an entry (IIRC in the nvram) that tells it which partition on which disk it is expected to use as the default startup disk. In your case it was still pointing at the Windows partition for some reason.

Can anyone tell me how to make my first column the 'Artist' column? I can rearrange all my columns fine, but it won't let any column but 'Song Name' be first in the order. Is it possible to have 'Artist' as the first column?
Thanks!
Thanks!

irmongoose That did it ;) Thanks!

If you want cheap, you can check out the various iHome ones. Check on amazon. I don't know how they are because I don't own any.

I've downloaded bootcamp 3.1 for my MacBook (white 13"), but as it's an exe file it won't run. So what should I do with it please?
I'm trying to install Win 7.
I've run Bootcamp Assistant but when I get to the 'insert Windows 7 disk and hit install' the screen goes black, then light grey, and the Apple Logo/Circle crossed out/folder icon with question mark, take rapid turns in the centre screen, whilst the DVD drive runs at full speed.
Please help.

I have a European iPhone that was carrier unlocked (IMEI white-listed) and I'm using it on AT&T in the US. I want to jailbreak it so I can use TetherMe so I can tether it to an iPad/laptop when necessary.
I'm worried I'll lose my unlock if I jailbreak it. Can this happen?
Thanks!

This person had the same question.
App doesn't look to be updated to 4.0 and above yet he was using an iPhone 4 in that video.

Does anyone know if you can use the Front Row remote to control iTunes, without entering Front Row? I sometimes find I want to quickly pause/play/skip tracks in iTunes, but without Cmd-Tabbing to iTunes and back to my work.
Thanks :)
Thanks :)

I was considering selling my powermac g4 and was wondering what i could get for the system. Its a 733 quicksilver 384mb ram, 2 40gb hard drives, and comes with a wireless keyboard, original black pro keyboard and mouse, and dell 15" lcd monitor. What could I get for it on here and on ebay. It is running tiger. Its a cd-rw
I would say around $500-$750 USD. Check out eBay and see what similar systems go for. :)

I had orginally planned on asking just for curiousity, but now its necessity (since toast doesnt like panther).
In Toast you have the ability to mount a Disk Image as a CD before you burn it. I want to know how to do this manually, since It allows my to run MOHAA Spearhead off my disk image (of a legal copy thankyouverymuch). Mounting it with disk copy as a Volume doesn't do the trick.
I've read the iso9660mount, hdid, and automount man pages and I'm either not looking in the right place or not putting 2 and 2 together to get 4.

Hmm... Okay. Thanks for that.
Taken from the bottom of this page (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449), just for the record.
"Resetting the parameter RAM (PRAM) when the computer is shut down also resets the Power Manager. The following process resets both the Power Manager and the parameter RAM."
This is true for the PMU unit on the logic board but is not a full PMU reset. Resetting the PRAM does not force the battery to be polled for charge and there for does not sync the battery charge level/charge indicator.
The PMU reset will also reset the trackpad optical drive. a NVRAM reset will reset track pad, optical drive, logic board and a few other things.
On desktop units its called a SMU and does about the same thing (just no battery involved). but it does reset the computers power systems.

With all respect...if you are having to ask what to do with a DMG, do you really think you should be installing OSX server?
Exactly. OP is not the target audience of OS X server.

The main issue I've encountered with distributed objects is that they're *too* transparent. The temptation is to treat remote objects as 'just another part of your app', when in fact they really can't be (what happens if the connection is interrupted? or there's suddenly high latency?). The best way to use them is closer to the way you'd use a traditional communication mechanism, with a defined protocol for communicating encapsulated in one remote object representing your communication channel.
Given that design restriction, they start looking a bit less appealing vs other communication mechanisms, although they're still a pretty neat technology.

Went to the online Apple Store (US) to CTO a PB to see how much I would save with the RAM special, and it said 7-10 Days shipping. Combine that with the refurb deals on old iBooks, and the fact that my local CompUSA has NO iBooks or TiBooks in stock, you have yourself some good rumor mongering.
