Which was among the Knowledge Navigator videos sounds remarkably like this technology.

Will it support playing graphic intensive Windows games? That's the only think Parallels doesn't do for me.
boxlight
In general you won't want to use any kind of virtualization solution for something processor & video intense like this. You'll want to just use boot camp.

Well Apple has used up all the "big cat" names like Tiger and Lion which means that either OS 11 is underway or they will be in the embarassing situation of having to use lesser cat names which imply "less".
Ocelot, Cheetah, Cougar, Fluffy, etc......
I for one am ready for OS 11.0 "Merlot"
Snow Lion?

Apple contributes about 4% to samsung annual revenue. And how many of apple product line use apple components? Like 95% (pure guess)?

As expected really. Shame about no graphics card update, but it's better than no upgrade at all.
Now next year, we want HD screens Apple ;)

Am i the only person who is relieved that the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 aren't coming out anytime soon? I feel like i've lucked out buying an iPhone that isn't revised in a year of me buying it! I would be devastated if an iPad 3 came out in september, i don't like being constantly last generation. Plus the IP4 and iPad2 are pretty great as they are
Yup, I feel the same. Get as much as possible out of my current iPhone before having to upgrade. It really hurts the wallet if I want to upgrade every year. :D

2 Mac Mini should still be very small
Imagine two Mac Mini back-to-back. That is how much desk-space the tower would consume. Now, it could be as high as four Mini's stacked on top of each other, so the volume would be eight times as much as the Mini has, but the actual space needed on the desktop would be just two Mini's worth.

You'll get no argument from me here. Been using the MX-1000 since my PC days and love it to death. My trackpad sees the use isntead of a MM, but same feelings :)
But I can see Steve Jobs announcing the improved bluetooth MM:
It's WWDC and he's in the middle of his stevenote. he 'accidentally hits something' and messes something or other up. He acts angry and yanks the MM away from its cord.
The cord just pops off and he pulls it out of hte USB port.
Then he keeps on using it as if nothing happened.
"oh, and we have the new bluetooth mighty mouse available now!
that's at least 3 MX-1000 users we have that are well-satisfied :-)

As first noted in a HardMac forum post (http://forum.hardmac.com/index.php?showtopic=159&st=0&p=917&#entry917), it appears Microsoft is specifying in its license agreements that the ability to operate in a virtualized environment is prohibited in Home Basic and Home Premium editions, leaving users to have to purchase either the Business or the Ultimate versions of the software to legally run in a virtualized environment.
Mac users have found virtualization solutions such as Parallels Desktop a good way to switch between Mac OS X and Windows. This latest news from Microsoft may inhibit some use of the software as Business and Ultimate editions range from $300-400 verses Home Basic's $200 price point (prices (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/08/20060829093154.shtml)).
Microsoft's EULA agreements can be found here (http://www.microsoft.com/about/legal/useterms/default.aspx).

Poor Jon Cryer. :D
And poor Conchata Ferrell. She never fails to steal a scene as Berta. It's hard enough for BBW actresses to get a gig on TV these days (with the notable exception of Mike & Molly), and now this happens.

How do these analysts earn money? Who ever pays them, should be fired. If we have to wait until September for the iPhone/iPod refresh, it's going to be 5 long and painful months putting up with all this crap everyday from the rumormill.
The closest I could see to this might be a rebranded Samsung set that contains an ATV, sold by Samsung

What happened to iCal from the Beta 1 Lion release? I felt that was a great unification of iOS iCal and OS X iCal (the layout was similar to iPad's iCal but it still looked like an OS X app). This new, giant brown header with embossed buttons and hard-to-read titles is just... awful.

Very nice update... solid machines. I bought my MBP 17" 3 months ago, so I think I'll wait for OS 10.5 next year, and hopefully the next revision of these babies until I upgrade... though it *is* tempting right now.

Not sure if I would consider "AJA, BlackMagic, and Promise" to be "industry demand." :) I'll give ya Promise.
I would think having names like Western Digital, Sony, HP, Maxtor, Iomega, and Seagate a lot more proof that TB is being adopted. USB 3.0 has been gaining momentum by leaps and bounds over the past year.
I have a feeling TB is going to be the next Firewire: sure, it works, but USB is so much more dominant at basically the same speeds. But I don't really care at the end of the day...just something much much faster than USB 2.0 for my hundreds of gigs of data that I copy/move around a bit.
And yes, for the true true true speed fans that need the best of the best of the best in their profession...sure, buy what you need.
Matrox has already been highlighted at NAB ~ you missed that. LaCie is an original with "The Little Big Disk" being a small RAID SSD drive with TB expect that mid-summer (salivating over this with aluminum body and very small package).
USB3.0 will have its place for the commoner but with TB that'll be its last generation; I presume.
Question (I'm surprised nobody asked this yet): Does TB bring back MBP Disk Mode? The option to hold "T" on boot up to turn your Mac into a HDD and carbon copy data to external or migrate/image from external to internal?
I also vote for a port replicator type box for MBP/iMac lineup unit.
I'm still on the hunt for a Corei5 Quad-Core iMac (I'm still confused why Apple downgraded from that to dual-core i3's)?!!????
