I just dl it and its awesome! this should be picked up by apple its super handy. sometimes i have 4 camera apps open that i am using and i hate having to find them so this is a saving grace for me.

It's not under the Applications or Volumes tabs. You need to be looking under the 'System' tab, in the 'Network Icons' row. ;)

yes the problem i am fast aproaching what i see is the limit of the drive size i can fit in to my imac the backups are not the problem they are a pain but....basically way i was trying to say is that once i get to the 3TB of files i dont know what to do or where to store them are there 3TB+ drives in our future or a way to trick the imac to think another drive is internal so i can continue to use time machine as my primary backup..
This is why i hope apple will provide more than just gigs of storage i need TB's of space. and the max file size thing is also a pain i have movies that go from 700MB to 8TB if i were to use is for a BU solution i dont want to have to pick an choose what i can and can not backup..... No and they are not pirated movies either!

your data needs are starting to exceed the equipment you are using. You need to think about a dedicated RAID (6 or 0+1, the MTBF will make RAID 5 unusable at this point) enclosure. Drobos should not be trusted to what you are trying to do.
1. you need to have two backups (one off-site) - time machine does this effortlessly.
2. you need to have some sort of multi-drive enclosure other-than-drobo. prolly need 2 or three.
3. are you saying that you may have an 8TB data file? That sounds impressive-> you storing satellite imagery or something? if you ARE at that level -> you need an enterprise/professional soln: XSAN, fibre-channel, etc., (prolly something in a rackmount)

Not trying to speak for sun baked, but compared to the other additions to the mod list, you are one that stands out the most. Maybe both in a positive and negative way (though there are many other members here that fit in the negative category). To be honest I don't remember seeing the other new UK mod and their postings.
Even as a mini mod, you have to have a thick skin. And as a mod you have to lead by example.
To be honest there may be those out there that are gunning for you. Waiting for you to "slip up". In the end the powers that be at MR have chosen you to be part of the select few. And that speaks volumes.
And I for one welcome you to that new group. Though I may not always have agreed with your "macros", your heart was in the right place. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy the added responsibilities. This coming from one that has done mod work in the past.

Which is kind of hard on such a restricted and limited platform. There would be more useful software for the iPad if it ran a 'real' operating system like Mac OS X -- meaning full file system access and not being tied into ONE App Store with arbitrary rules for what a program is allowed to do.
The iOS architecture of firewalling file system access for each application makes huge sense: it eliminates the means by which malware can attack the data of other programs. Apple could relax those rules at some point; the greatest speculation I hear is that there will be a DMZ where files could be moved from one app to another. This is a far better strategy than having a promiscuous operating system and try to add the protection afterwards.

I just got iMsafe. It backs up to an iPod, Firewire drive etc and it has been excellent. It just seems really good. Looks nice, dead simple, works well. And that's it.

Ahhhh.
I'm tempted to buy one just because of it's design/uniqueness and relatively low price.
"Music to my Ears" would be a good engraving, but I don't think I'd get an engraving just in case I wanted to sell it?
