I heard there's an option in Universal Access to limit the mouse's maximum cursor speed.
Huh? I don't find that option.

Hey all, Im looking for the best ipad 2 video converter.
I'm looking for something that can convert vob files, or any files, but im currently using that file. Im really looking for something that will keep the file size as small as possible so I can have more room on my ipad to put more movies and I would definitly want to keep the same or close video quality.
FYI. im currently using DVD Encrypter to take my DVDs and rip them and then using videora to convert to ipad format but I need something that will keep the files size smaller. The original files are 5+ gigs when ripped.
Any suggestions? Thanks!:apple:

The last line isn't quite correct:
The Windows switches /3GB and /PAE will not make a difference to these limits; they affect the allocation of memory to applications within Windows only.
The switch /3GB does indeed only affect the allocation of memory to applications, but the switch /PAE does allow 32 bit Windows to access more than 4 GB of RAM using Physical Address Extensions (a hardware feature which is how OS X accesses more than 4 GB of RAM in 32 bit mode).
Microsoft has chosen not to implement PAE support in Windows XP, Windows Vista, and (I assume) Windows 7, so there is no way for those OSs to support more than 4 GB of RAM. On the other hand, Windows and 2008 R2 do support PAE, so the 32 bit versions should be able to support more than 4 GB of RAM.
To use the the /3GB switch, the application must be compiled IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS AWARE.
I'd edit the wiki myself, but I do not yet have edit privileges.

I'm not sure if this helps, but my MBP with an Intel SSD (G2) is pretty damn fast. I definitely get less than 15 sec boot ups. The only thing I don't get is that deep sleep feature that Apple put into the MBAs where the laptop can last for 30 days. I think that's more of a design/firmware feature Apple cooked up into the MBAs.
As for instant on, it's fast too. Maybe not as fast as the MBAs, but I get to my login screen in less than 8 seconds. Also shuts down in less than 5 seconds too. I think it all matters about the SSD. Apple doesn't offer the fast SSDs from Intel and OCZ with Sandforce controllers so if you get a MBP now with the SSD option you might not get speeds as those with Intel/ OCZ SSDs.

the new spymac is great, especially the spydisk. 100 MB of online disk space that mounts on the OS X desktop.

That "Administrator" account is disabled by default.
I take it that you are using a standard account?
Did you make a password protected admin account for the purpose of authenticating with higher privileges from that standard account?
You need two accounts. A password protected admin account that is only there to provide admin credentials and to use to rescue standard accounts in the event of issues. And, a standard account used for day to day computing.
I am/was using a standard account, & this was the only account I created.
I figured out how to setup the administrator account by trial & error. Actually just trial & no error.
Thanks, all, for the help. It got me thinking in the right direction.

The letter body text?? That's interesting indeed.
Sadly not - it was just the letterhead (well letterbottom) and it also had the older apple logo on it (A Blue one with the older texture), so it looks like those are all being used internally still

If there is no output from the external then it could be that video card is failing. You will know that the inverter is faulty if the apple logo on the lid is not turning on.
If the screen is black and there is output on the external port then it might be that you have a poor LVDS connection or the cable is faulty.

If you have two or more tracks of audio, say a vocal mic was on each, for spoken word. It's not too much bother to manually snip out the silence(ish) from the inactive mics but is there a better way?
i've found i get the best results when doing manual gain rides, and i'll do this for a lead vocal in a song. but for fast results, you can use a technique called ducking. ducking uses the presence of audio on one track to automatically turn down another track.
someone put up a video of how to do it in PT here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WDlJWJYw8g), though i only watched the first minute. there's lots of step by step instructions online.

They're also trying to overturn legislation approved by voters that would help ban puppy mills in the state. They also passed concealed carry legislation, going against the wishes of the voters.
I don't know why we bother voting in this state.

Hi Guys,
My wifes 3GS is having an issue with signal. It keps losing signal for no reason. Im on the same network and have no issues.
I search for available carriers and none are found. Then all of a sudden the signal will return and be normal.
A 'Genius' looked at it and said the phone needs replacing. Didn't try and diagnose the issue. Phones out of warranty so it's 140 for the pleasure. Don't really want to do that as we're not far off the upgrade date of the contract.
Any ideas? I would have thought if it was hardware it would be out all the time?
Cheers,

I assume you're talking about the flagship store, correct?
Still deciding whether or not to venture out. I'll eventually be getting Leopard on my machine for free through work, so I won't be buying on release night. So it's a matter of whether I just want to join the festivities or not. Hmm...

So I just got a new macbook air and transfered over my music and apps from Time Machine. The problem I have now is that on my iphone I purchased some apps and music which aren't on the air. But to sync it says I have to erase the iphone. How the heck do I get my music and apps over without it erasing the new apps and music I bought?

ok, so I'm looking for a someone that does coding for online stores for
products that are customizable. *Sort of like when you go to an auto
website and you can order a car and choose options like color, and then
it'll show the image of the car in whatever color you chose, or when you order food online at places like 5 Guys or chipotle.

...or someone who know's how to repair the SCSI interface IC.
I have acquired a color classic about a year ago. Since then, I have only been able to boot into it once. The CC will not recognize the internal hard drive.
I've tried swapping with another 80MB SCSI HD, and booted with the install disk, but the CC wont recognize the HD. I tried terminating the SCSI port on the rear of the machine... which seemed to allow the CC to recognize the HD. The CC was able to recognize the HD and it allowed me to begin installing System 7, but after about an hour the machine (I haven't been able to recreate this scenario since).
I've replaced the PRAM battery, which didn't help my situation at all... and I have also tried blowing out the logic board too.
After all of this, I believe that my SCSI interface chip is bad... but I don't have any experience soldering on a double sided PCB.
Does anybody have any tips on how I could/should remedy this situation?
