How about a two-column landscape layout? You'll need to set the margins, columns and the gutters properly, but after that, you should be good to go. (Then you can save it as a template for next time.)

Well, I guess these kinds of things are preferential. Perhaps I'm more used to Micro$oft Office toolbars.
Anyhow, I find myself using Pages more often. I'll just tell my boss to buy a Mac Mini if he wants to read my documents. :D
If Apple does come out with a spreadsheet, it better be more usable than what one can get currently on Pages. One major omission is that one cannot create a graph directly from a table (you have to 'cut and paste').
I'm with KookAid, I find that the Inspector is far more time consuming than a well laid out Icon Bar with drop boxes. Maybe it's because I've been using Microsoft Office forever. But I have given Pages a serious try and I find that I really like it, except for it's lacking AutoCorrection and Inspector.

So then the question becomes, if not LTE why the delay?
Some have said a new version of iOS. But why would a phone have to wait for that? You would just upgrade later like we all did with iOS4. So there has to be some other reason. But what? New size of screen, like the edge to edge thing talked about? The rumor mill keeps saying that the design won't be much different then the iPhone 4, so if true, and there is no LTE. Then why the delay? It's not because of Japan, because these rumors were floating about before all that.
It's kind of madding because I am in the market for a new phone now and fall is an awfully long time to wait. If another year is added on top of that for LTE, well...wow. That could work out to a year and a half from now for an LTE iPhone, unless they release something in another unusual timeframe...like say Feb. or March. But I don't see that happening. That's a really LONG time to wait for something in the fast moving world of phones and electronics.

I don't want to join in the bandwagon of naysayers who think they know Apple very well because none of us actually do.
Instead, I'll look at how it can possibly be true.
First point: The iPhone was released amidst a sea of dumb smartphones but did this fact stop Apple from dominating and changing the market, so I a crowded market a deterrent to Apple to re-introduce TV to the world? NO
Second point: The way TV is done by current competitors and Apple themselves, is that the focus is being heavily shifted to go through the web, which of course traditional media firms don't like. But what if you have an appliance that connects the way it did to traditional networks but once contents gets in you can control it the way you want. Apple is about user experience, maybe they have developed a way to make traditional TV more fun and interactive to use.
Third point: Apple is an electronic appliance company now more than ever and have been eyeing on capturing the living room for a while now. The TV is the center of the living room and instead of plugging in on to one why not make an actual set, that way you cut out competition from more established appliance manufacturers?
Fourth point: Apple already has a game console which is considered the hub of home entertainment, it's called iPad.
So is it still impossible for Apple to bring out a TV? NO. So let's just wait for new information to come.

Although I think the Rep is probably correct, their source of information is likely to be from forums such as this.

It came out yesterday. Not a couple of hours ago. I stream Sirius radio on the weekdays at work and I notice a difference in the battery usage.

nah. I doubt they would do this. .2 inches is not that much bigger and would cause problems with designing apps to look good on it. I can see a 4 inch screen, and them getting rid of the home button. What they'll do for the home button is make the screen clickable at the bottom where the home button used to be. It would be similar to squeezing a magic trackpad. That would enable them to get rid of the home button and expand the screen to that area, making it a 4 inch screen. I can also see the area above the screen and next to the camera and ear piece become touch sensitive, enabling "drag down" menus that would enable multitasking or enable quick settings. For example, you could drag down from one corner to get multitasking menu and switch back to a different app, (8 instead of 4, I hope) and drag down from the other corner to quickly adjust screen brightness and turn your wifi hotspot on or off. They may also make the back touch sensitive, but I can't imagine a use for that, so I don't know what they'll do with it. But they made a glass back for a reason. I think they have a really good idea of what to do with a touch sensitive back.

cloud based this and cloud based that, what about the traffic that comes with that? , i pay a lot for mobile internet and i`m not willing to pay a **** load more just so i can use my ipod, why wold i pay my cell phone network every time i want to listen to a song i already pay`d for.
As far as i`m concern cloud based stuff shod be introduced when cell phone network providers are willing to give unlimited traffic plans at a decent cost, until that time it`s pure nonsense.

I'm not. What would I like to see from Apple? What would my ideal iPod be like? Let's explore the possibilities.
Bluetooth-headphones. This would kick ass. No more wires that get tangled up. And it CAN be done!
Large touch-screen. No separate controls, the controls would be right in the display (like in the image that was linked before in this thread).
And before you say "but there would be fingerprints on the screen! And it wouldn't provide any tactile feedback!". Ah, but how about that "no-touch" controls that have been rumored? I have no idea that is it really possible, but what if? You could simply hover you finger 1cm from the screen and use the controls. No fingerprints. As to the tactile feedback.... Tactile feedback is used that you know where the controls are without actually looking at the screen. "No-touch" UI does not have this, because you aren't actually touching anything. So how do we make this work? Well, what if you could just put your finger close to the screen ANYWHERE on the screen. If you do circlular motion (like in current iPod) the device would scroll, adjust volume, and do the other things you can do on the current iPod. If you move your finger straigh up, it would be equivaltnof clicking "menu". Straight down would be play/pause and so forth.
As to WLAN and the like.... What if the new iPod could be tied to iChat? You could VOIP to/from the iPod. just turn on the wireless, and browse to the "buddy list" menu on your iPod, and you are all set. Hell, the iPod could have a camera as well! if they can put video-cameras on phones, is there any reason why iPod couldn't have one?

Larger storage, smaller size, less weight, color-screen, refinements... How about REALLY rocking our world for a change? Enough with these evolutionary steps, take a revolutionary step instead! You have the audience, you have the market, you have the brand. You CAN do it! If there's anyone who can do it, it's you.
Remember the "Think Different"? I would like Apple to do so. Instead of living the status quo, and making small improvements, make something different. Make iPod revolutionary. The groundwork has already been done. You just need to take that one step.

We weren't informed about the iPhone 4 being released until AFTER Apple's official press conference last year.
Even though I know this is a site for rumors... I've found this site to make sure the BS rumors were weeded out before it would become front-page news... But making an unsubstantiated statement by a random AT&T CSR front-page material is just plain bad journalism.
BTW: AT&T has been cracking down on customer's upgrade eligibility dates. If you downgrade/remove features/plans on your account odds are the date will be changed.
AT&T makes no promises that the date is constant and it can really change at any time...
The customer related to the article probably was suspended too many times for non-pay and that's the reason why the date was changed... Not because of some crazy conspiracy to correlate with the next iPhone release...
