Personally i would keep the new battery and not worry about it. Under the circumstances they provided you with the closest replacement.

if your machine shipped with SL you must use a disk that came from an identical machine, otherwise the disc won't hold the drivers necessary.

I am trying to get into DFU mode, but my power button doesn't work... I tried using the wiki and none of the methods suggested works...
I don't care about my band loss or anything, I just need to restore this goddam phone so I can get another one. I've spent 8 hours on this... ANYONE have any solution.
I am using tinyumbrella, it gets through the first part fine then says: Preparing Iphone for restore, in which it stays there for 5 minute and gives the error 1604.
Is it the lack of DFU mode killing me here? Or what shall I do. I can't get into DFU mode cause of this stupid damn power button :(

Hi all
If you've removed the ItunesHelper from the Login Items section (System Preferences >> Accounts >> Login Items ... , How can you put it back?
I know where it is by browsing to it in Finder Applications >>>Itunes >Show Package Contents >> Resources . ITunesHelper ... but you can't drag and drop, and you can only select the application itself from the login window.

so this macbook 2.0ghz unibody unfortunately suffered a minor beer spill. I opened it up and cleaned some minor corrosion on the logic board. Took out the keyboard and washed it to remove the stickiness. After everything is put back together, the computer would not charge or recognize the battery properly. I put in a working battery (I have the 2.4ghz model as well) and it does see I've put in a battery, but it would not run on the battery, and the charging percentage will remain at 0%. I've reset pram, smc. I swapped the battery cable and same thing. I can't see any burn marks so I need some help tackling this problem. I have no problem changing IC's as I have hardware repair experience, but I just need to know what to change. perhaps anyone have schematics?

I have one of these in my 2009 Air, and it honestly turned my Air into a whole different computer. The difference between it with the SSD and the old HDD is night and day.

This question just popped into my mind. I saw a post today which was edited by Doctor Q because of a simulated signature. I don't know what the sig was but this got me thinking.
I'm wondering, are Tapatalk sigs like "Posted from my iPhone using Tapatalk" allowed? The forum rules don't really specify this in my opinion:
Simulated signatures. Signatures must be set in the User Control Panel and not simulated within posts, so that other members can choose whether or not to display them. You may not use automated software such as FoxyTunes Signatunes to insert content into your posts. You may use a salutation, i.e., put your name or user name at the bottom of your post.

Personally, I like to let other people know when I'm posting from my iPhone because often my replies are short and not very detailed.

They're downloading only the actual number of bytes (900 bytes)
The 4 K is an artifact of the hard disk formatting system, it's a 900 byte file in a 4096 byte pigeon-hole.
So 900 bytes will be transmitted, and what it occupies on the destination machine depends on the block size of that particular machine.
good answer!

What I'd like to see is something that will format CD-RW's so you can read and write to them just like a floppy. Simular to Roxio's Direct CD on Windows

Upon reading various google searches, it appears some users hack in firmware into their ipods, couldn't one simply take the older firmware of the 5/5.5g video and place it into the 6g classic?
No, the 6G has an encrypted firmware and has a very different internal setup the the 5/.5G iPod.

That should be easy if all sites combine to 15-20k hits per day.
I am doing >5k per day hits on a cheap shared plan, although moving to something better.

I'm not sure if there are regional restrictions, but have you tried Masters.com (http://www.masters.com/)? They have a ton of streaming coverage, if you can get it. Amen Corner and 15 & 16 have their own feeds, as well as 2 featured groups that they are following. Give it a shot and see if it is available for you.
