I'm an Apple fan, but the truth has to be told: a) 3.5" is TOO small to be practical. I have a Motorola DEFY with a 3.7" display, and even then, the on screen keyboard is not large enough in portrait mode, at least 4 to 4.3" is vital.
Why not 5"? Or 6"? 4.3" is "vital?" I doubt most people desire a phone that's the size of an old-school PDA. I know I don't.

So whats your opinion, personally i think it was to focused on the iphone...
im in the uk so it doesnt come out here for ages...GREAT. and no new software, not even an update, that blows. Iphone looks great tho. Also the Apple TV seems altoghether useless to me? why does it need a 40gb hard drive and processor if it connects wirelessly to computers? surely streaming would have been more clever? and tey didnt even updated the screens to work properly with it! And itunes store UK still has no movies!!! GRRR. Pointless fo anyone in the uk in my opinion, whats the point of it? big whoop i can watch my music thru my crappy tv speakers ?? :confused: :mad:

Within 5 years, more and more work is going to be stored on the cloud. This could allow you access to linked fonts and images via a wireless connection. And being able to move images around a page with your finger would involve a learning curve, but it wouldn't be impossible - especially with some of the CS5 smart guides. Add in support for some keyboard shortcuts via a wireless keyboard, and you might have a viable product.

Congrats to the four new Mods. I think it's safe to say they're all universally respected members of the forum and are great choices.
With MR becoming ever more popular it has become harder to effectively moderate these boards, especially with the international flavour we've got going on here! I'm sure the new Mods will do a great job and will keep the MR community spirit going. Congrats again guys :)

Therefore, I support life in prison in order to give the convicted killer every opportunity to improve their mind and realize the error of their actions before they die. I've argued with Christians on a similar point. Shouldn't they allow the killers to have the rest of their natural lives to accept Jesus as their savior? And by executing them, we're saying to Jesus, "in your face! We decide, not you!"

So what do you have against teachers making more? If teachers made more competitive salaries, there would be more competition for teaching jobs, thus leading to better quality teachers, ultimately resulting in better education.
I'd rather spend an extra $100/yr for better teachers rather than helping to pay for Tom Cruise's 39 estates.

I should also note that this new American Passat is not related to the previous generation Passat. The current Euro Passat is a facelifted version of the previous car. The new American Passat is a new design that will be sold only in North America and China. So we now have two "Passats" in the market that are actually different cars, though they are sold in different markets.
I hope they don't give the Golf the Cheaper+Bigger treatment as well...

Yes, because the hardware manufactured decided to use "GB" for Gibibyte instead of gigabyte. But since all memory (hardrives, ram) are in base 2, 2^30 = 1GB is correct.

The "actual formatted capacity less" bit there is because computers read memory in 2^x formats, as you mentioned Gibibytes (GiB), Mebibytes (MiB), Kibibytes (KiB), etc., whereas manufactures spec memory (with the exception of RAM, I believe) in 10^x formats, or Gigabytes (GB), Megabytes (MB), Kilobytes (KB), etc. So, 1 GB=0.93 GiB. However, of course, most of the public doesn't understand GiB, so computers just report this as GB. So, finally, the "formatted" capacity of the 1 GB Shuffle, if you ask the Finder, is 0.931 GB, or 953.7 MB.
