Just to let know everybody that i just sent my first complain about edesignuk as a moderator.
Don't know why I'm bothering here but why in the hell would you make this public? If you had a legitimate complaint, I'm sure you would have posted a link to the thread. Are you trying to cause trouble? (highly likely given your history).
This seems an appropriate pic.

That doesn't make it acceptable to torture him (or anyone else) - you can't win a war against terrorists by becoming a terrorist. Where would you draw the line and how do you determine that the line is in the "correct" place?
If you say it's OK to torture someone who knows a lot but won't tell you what he knows, how do you determine he's not telling you everything and therefore sanction torture? Before you know it, you are sanctioning torture against everyone "just in case" and it then becomes a routine part of any interrogation against anyone you capture.
I know there are no easy answers to this, and I don't know how I would react if my daughter's life was at risk and could be saved by torturing someone, but I do know that torture is wrong in and of itself and cannot be justified from a moral perspective
One thing I have not made clear, is that I agree that it is wrong, and immoral, but at the same time I think there are some cases where it is called for.
I do not advocate its use for ordinary soldiers or officers captured in a "real" war, but to be perfectly honest, I have zero compassion for the likes of KSM and people like him, to me this guy does not even deserve to be called a human being. Remember, this is the guy who beheaded Daniel Pearl, an innocent journalist.

Hmmm. I think I figured this one out. It's Apple. Apple makes Macs. All new Macs have Airport. Macs are plugged into the Internet. iPhones are made by Apple. Apple controls the default settings on Mac OS X.
"If you're near a Mac your calls are free."
How 'bout them Apples?
Sweet. But, there's more to just piggybacking on your mac's airport connection to make calls. I think more has to be done to make this networking possible.

$17.99 in Australia although $1 AUD = $1.05 USD... I'm getting sick of this! Not only is our dollar worth more, but we pay more too... the 2 just compound on each other.
What a farce!

for some reason I can't figure out how to have all documents of a certain type use the same icon, like all keynote files generated will use (insert icon.)
can someone help me out, or maybe there isn't a way to do this?

You mentioned the magic word "Company Start", I have a rule of no work of friends of friends and anyone who mentions the "startup" in the breif.
True email...
Can't argue with the logic
You charge peanuts you get greedy monkey IMHO. Pushing the price ups generally discourages the crappy clients in my experience, clients will generally pay what they think the service is worth (not just design here).
Hi Thanks for the advice. That email about the literal interpretation of "freelance" is insane! I hope you didn't have to deal with that person for very long :)
P.S. - love the peanuts/greedy monkey analogy. I think I'm learning the hard way, that there are indeed a lot of them out there. Someone needs to make an "Attack of the Greedy Monkey's" iphone app :)

They make not tinker with it too much, though they did try to take it a bit down market in its last revision. They may just stick to the four door sedans, since they tend to be the biggest sellers. The ironic part is that people laughed when VW tried to move upscale in the 90s, more into the luxury market. Now people are giving them flak for trying to make their stuff more affordable.
Back in the 90s, auto magazines in the US criticized the Jetta for being too small (similar criticisms were leveled at the underrated Mondeo sold here as the Contour). I always like the in-between size of the Jetta, but apparently most Americans prefer larger cars.
I would like to think I'm wrong, but most Americans seem to correlate size and quality, i.e. bigger cars are better. People can't understand why anyone would buy a smaller car when a bigger one could be had at the same price.

I initially admit that I am a genuine, bonafide Magic Mouse un-coordinated user or retard. I’m habitually right-clicking with my Magic Mouse on matters that I meant to be left-clicking on; and had even thought, (w/o looking) that I was left-clicking accurately on. Until the pesky, tell-tale, rectangular dialog box appears on my Mac mini, flat-screen desktop ... Informing me immediately that I just screwed up again and right-clicked where I thought that I was left-clicking. It’s obviously a Magic Mouse disorientation issue, and it’s up to me or my action to resolve it. And that is what I end up always scolding myself with, because I hadn’t first felt for the mouse’s side edge to secure an accurate click. Well this ‘my bad’ self-denigration flogging is over! ‘It’s not just mine alone spaz condition to blame!’ is my claim. There is an obvious void, error or design flaw of the hollowed Magic Mouse ~ that I beg to share in responsibility along with my personal malfunctions. Doy! The humpbacked, Apple Magic Mouse simply doesn’t even have a right-click/left-click divider or embossed spine on it at all, which is the obvious, inherent problem. Such as PC mice have always had, haven’t they? So I’ve do-it-yourself, (or done-it-myself) solved it by merely cutting a precise three-sixteenth inch, slightly-tapered sliver of black (my preference entirely) duct tape approximately 2” long and have successfully adhered it into it’s pre-determined, center position, (like cleavage), to achieve a resounding, accoladed victory!
My summation is that the spineless Apple Magic Mouse is not for everyone. But can be easily and inexpensively remedied to be so!
Thank you,

Not at all - it's a well-established truism that Americans prefer sedans over hatchbacks and wagons, they prefer large, torquey engines (usually V6 or V8), and they prefer lots of car for cheap as opposed to a smaller, higher-quality car.
Though cars are being kept longer these days than in the past, Americans tend to dispose of their cars at a greater rate than, say, in Europe. So it makes sense that cheaper build quality is more viable when the car is not expected to last forever.
Will be interesting to see if VW survives the Americanization of their car line. One of the tings I saw last year was that they are going to make their new cars feel more like what Americans are used to driving. And that is a shame - since one of the few joys I had with my POC '99 New Beetle was how fun it was to drive. So much for fahrvergngen - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fahrvergngen

i think we'll see a trend where people start clipping the suffle on something and then take pictures of the ipod shuffle attached to.
like... the most expensive driving mp3 player on earth, ipod shuffle clipped on the antenna of a ferrari..
or you've got a living mp3 player-pet: your ipod shuffle clipped at your dogs ear ;)
etc...
there should be a website for that... and if you're putting a bunch of google ads on it and start making it popular.. you could probably buy 200 ipod shuffles after a month =)
