There are a lot of people who have posted on using the gevey sim. Why don't you read those posts and come to your own conclusion?

Hello,
I have a early 2008 macbook white, 2.4 ghz model
And the fans are always on and they are rather loud, I still have apple care for about another 8 months and want to take care of any possible issues.
The the smallest task will make them blast its rather annoying thanks.

As stated in the website:
"iPhone 3G purchased at the Apple Online Store can be activated with any wireless carrier. Simply insert the SIM from your current phone into iPhone 3G and connect to iTunes 8 to complete activation."
8GB for HKD 5400 (About USD690)
16GB for HKD 6200 (About USD 790)
Is that a move to fight against Android?
Will Hong Kong be the next exporter of carrier free, non-jailbreak iPhone 3G?

Sorry for my false answer than...
When I installed Windows 7 64-bit and wanted to install Bootcamp drivers, bootcamp said that its software wasn't compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. So I concluded that Bootcamp was unsuitable to install the drivers correctly in 64-bit.
My bad, sorry.

This is the second one of these I found in the woods behind my house.
They are semi-soft, and look like they might be an egg of some type, though at first I thought they were man-made because of the perfect seam that runs around the center.
ANyone have any idea what this is?

I acquired a PowerBook 170 that is in perfect working order. There are no scratches anywhere on the body or screen. Is it worth anything?
Thanks!!

CS5 Master Collection came with 257 fonts in the Goodies folder. How do I install them? Some say just drag them into /Library/Fonts, others say use Fontbook (it's like iTunes for fonts??), ...Why are you so frightened of your system? I will do nothing without your permission. You could have answered your questions for yourself in less time that it took to post your question.
That said, PrePressAcrobat gave several excellent suggestions. As for FontBook, it is not an iTunes for fonts. It is a very simple utility that installs and activates/deactivates fonts. It may also be used to perform minor repairs on fonts. Double-clicking on a font launches FontBook. There is a utility that it very much like iTunes for fonts, but it does not come from Apple. It is FontExplorer X Pro from Linotype. There is also an older free version. This utility allows you to purchase and download fonts from LinoType. It also allows you to manage fonts from all sources much as you do with FontBook. However, ...
... you should use only one utility to manage your fonts. FontBook and FontExplorer X use different folders to store deactivated fonts. Font deactivated using one utility are not available to the other utility.

Hi guys.
I'm a little confused here, i've been an iPhone user for a long time and i'm getting an iPod touch for my girlfriend so she can use it on skype.
Is it true that the current 8GB iPod Touch is actually the second generation model? and the 32/64gb versions are 3rd gen models?
Thanks.
Technically the 8gb is third gen, but its just the name, other than that theres no difference.

The iCal and Address book servers are unique to the server OS. You can run a Web server with any Mac, the server program is present, and you can install free Wiki software.
Be aware that running a Web server that goes over the Internet is a violation of most service provider's residential terms of service and can get you disconnected. You typically have to get business class service that costs so much that it is cheaper just to pay for a web hosting service.

What are some reasons to jailbreak an iPod touch? I have a 2nd generation one. Please convince me why it is so great for an ITOUCH! :) Thanks!

as long as it's not a gray install DVD, which are machine specific, you should be fine.

That depends on what your purchased. Office 2011 requires activation. You would need a 2 Pack in order to use on both computers. In the past you could install on one desktop and one laptop but that was discontinued in Office 2011.
I don't believe you can purchase another install once you purchase the 1 pack. The H&S version no longer comes with an email client so you can't use that to get around the requirements for installing on more than one computer.
An option would be to switch to IMAP and use your browser for viewing mail while you are traveling. If your provider doesn't offer IMAP you can setup Gmail as IMAP had have it forward your POP account so you will have access to those emails while traveling.

Hey guys. I really hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction. I recently purchased an m-audio interface from Best Buy for my home studio. It's been working great until the other day when I began recording and it would not pick up a signal for my mic. I have another mic that connects directly to the computer via usb. So i tried that mic and got the same results....nothing being recorded. If anyone knows whats going on I would greatly appreciate it because I honestly don't even know the source of the problem.

Sims, I've started googling info and it does look like most apps nowadays require OS X 10.5 or higher. I've been meaning to upgrade anyway, so I will do that and see if the problem still persists....
Thanks
Normally the requirements are listed on the page you download the applications from. If you want to upgrade, you can use the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD for 29 USD, no need to use the Mac Box Set, as the Upgrade DVD will work and doesn't need any prior Mac OS X installed, thus it does not scan for 10.5 and tells you, you can't upgrade, because you have 10.4.

Hi, I'm coming to you with a question on behalf of my mother, whose computer won't start up.
Early this morning we had a power outage (for a whole total of ten seconds) which, well, shut everything down including her Power Mac G5. Now it won't start up. Yes, it's plugged in, and it's connected to a surge protector.
When you press the power button you can hear the fans start, and the CD drive begin to whirr, but no sound other than that, no start up noise. We're also not getting any visuals on the monitor at all. The white light on the front of the computer begins to blink continuously, and it's a pretty fast blink, I'd say twice a second.
After searching around online, I can't figure it out, I've tried pressing the Cuda/PMU button, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas? If worst comes to worst, we'll see about taking it in to the Apple store at the mall where I work. Speaking of, I have to run off to work now, thus I won't be able to check back for a good eight hours or so, but thank you in advance!

It fits perfectly. Better than a bumper on my White iPhone 4. As for scratched back it does scratch easy but if you want to display the back of your phone for that look it is a decent compromise. You can always put a skin on the case!
I think it's a great case, I just wish it was I'm different colours!

Yeah there is a colour difference between around the imac and the bilboard and then on the frame of the bilboard as well. Otherwise nice one.
