Is anyone else having a problem with the keyboard shortcuts in Safari not working after a short period time of using the browser? For some reason my keyboard shortcuts stop working after a while. Nothing I don't have any problems with anything else, just the keyboard shortcuts. A restart of the browser fixes it. Is anyone else seeing this?
Which shortcuts? Copy, Paste?
No problems here with most common shortcuts.

You're a guy, go with white and be done with it. I'd be more concerned about where I'd be getting my alcohol from and making sure I've got some protection.
Exactly this! Go with white and only worry about the after party.

I have a copy of MS Office 2008 Special Media Edition still sealed in box. It usually retails for $499 at the Apple store (I'll offer it for much less); how much are you looking to spend?
Let's work something out; let me know.

Your G5, as stated, pretty much maxes out at 10.5.8. You can try running a Linux distro on it, if you really need to, once Leopard's support completely ends. Leopard is still rather usable for most things, though, so keep that G5 around! After all, people still use Tiger after its official support has completely ended
If you absolutely need Snow Leopard, though, I'd advise looking at some older used Intel machines. Just make sure it's at least a Core 2 machine - the Core series is officially being dropped from Lion. (though I'm sure something like XPostFacto will surface for it...)

If you already have two partitions established, you can reformat one without affecting the other. It's like having two separate drives.
Brilliant! thanks for your help :D

Yeah, anything within Pages templates will be acceptable to use. No worries there.
If you need specific text to indicate that, have a look at the Pages User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/Pages09_UserGuide.pdf).

Hi, I'm selling my 2007 White MacBook.
In line with most of the suggestions on this forum I've securely wiped the drive and done a re-install but have hit a problem.
The machine came with OS X 10.4 Tiger but I've since upgraded it to Leopard then Snow Leopard.
Ideally I'd like to give the new owner the new MacBook experience with the spinning Welcome text but I'd also like to stick them on the latest Snow Leopard.
The problem is, when I do a fresh install of Snow Leopard the machine won't have the iLife applications (they are on the original Tiger install disks).
Is there a way I can get the iLife apps on there without needing to set up an account on the machine?
If not, what's the best thing to do?
Setting up an account is something I'd rather not do (I know I'd be annoyed if I bought a second-hand MacBook and it already had an account on it).
On the other hand installing Tiger and giving them the upgrade disks also seems a bit poor too.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks in advance.

'BACK' is the forward/back arrow pair.
'PATH' is the path element.
'SWCH' is the view-switching element.
'ACTN' is the action menu.
'flxs' is a Flexible Space element.
'SRCH' is the search element.
Apparently I was looking in at the wrong item in the plist. Apparently the missing item was the Finder path location. No idea why it would be missing, but I don't care much about removing it.

I bought something very similar to that. The design is the same but the holes are a little different. The bottom is one large hole, which is good since the USB cable can be plugged. I have a case like the one you linked nad it's a little difficult. Also the one you linked is from Hong Kong so it's a mighty long wait :/

is there an internet tv link for this channel?
http://www.bloomberg.com/tvradio/tv/ then click Launch Video Player. It's a Windows Media stream. With Flip4Mac installed I'm getting the video, but no audio.

I'd suggest a mixture of UniPro and Psilocybin's remedies.
Dropbox for files that you may need to edit/update/sync then use MobileMe to sync your settings, keychain, etc...
You could also use iDisk to sync files but I prefer Dropbox for this part of the process.
Hope to help,

You can restore icons and the dock in CandyBar. Just open CandyBar.app>Menubar>Change>Check Dock. Do the same thing and then when at Change>Click Restore Dock. Do the same for your icons. You can either restore all of them or just drag out the icons you replaced that are giving you problems.

It's possible that it's a firewall problem on either your end or, more likely, the hospital's wifi. I can't offer any concrete reason why but a lot of public wifi's block things for one reason or another. It could easily be the case with whatever service provider you're trying to get emails from.

Hey, just came across this thread looking for similar cameras to the Flip, or any recommendations to just grab a Flip while I can. Anyone else want to weigh in on similar camcorders?
I saw that CompUSA has the JVC GC-FM2B (http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6694102&sku=J300-1252&cm_re=Homepage-_-Spot%2005-_-CatId_4441_J300-1252) for $79, which sounds like a really good deal, but I don't know much about it. It records in MP4, which is nice for loading onto an iPod without any extra steps, but I saw some complaints about battery life in HD mode.

I have just come off the phone with 3 different Apple shops in KL and all of them say 2 to 6 weeks to order the iMac..............WTF.
I really dont want to wait, I only get one month off then back on the Oil Rig so I want it as soon as I get home in one weeks time.
Apart from 5k Malaysian how much of a difference is there between a stock iMac and the fully loaded one that I originally wanted.

I honestly think it is 8 per bus. On my 7100, i connected 5 devices and all of them were working.
Do you have the Mach 5 cpu (the 300mhz one)?

... Any one has any resolution?Yes. Development systems are intended for developers. Don't use development systems for your day-to-day tasks. Don't use pirated development systems at all. When Lion is released to the public, you will have an opportunity to purchase it. Your purchase will provide an expectation that your software will work as intended. Until then, you have absolutely no expectation that any particular software title will work at all.
