they are about 10 degrees F cooler now at idleThat's good. One would conclude that they are now running slower and quieter at idle since they are not as hot at idle -- much better than the Power Mac G5.

Just because they are improving this build doesnt mean there aren't some major apps or system features they are not revealing to developers.
They could be updating another version of the OS alongside this one with extra goodness!, and the updates are most likely to be fixes based on what the devs tell them is buggy.
I think they have purposefully left stuff out of Leopard for the moment so that it is even more shocking when it is all revealed at the launch of Leopard! thats what apple does best, shocks the public with "one more thing!"I have to agree. Just having beat Portal 2 on my 11" MBA with a 1.6ghz core 2 duo and the 320m, playing it on max settings, native resolution at ~40fps was GREAT.
This isn't possible on the Intel graphics, it'd tip just below smoothly playable at these settings. The CPU is barely a bottleneck, seriously. What other 11" device can run a modern game maxed out?! Thank god for the Source engine, and for Apple's 320M+C2D choice.

A 4" iPhone would probably replace the 3.5" model so all the current apps would run on it no problem. It might require some tweaking for some apps but the upside is you get to update your app and sell it again.
If they build an iPhone with the same size screen as the iPod Nano then they could invite developers to develop mini-apps for that size screen to be used on the iPod Nano and iPhone Nano, creating a new AppStore category. Would be a huge market and very attractive to developers of news/info related apps.

So I just went into a store, told them I hadn�t gotten my key, and they printed a receipt with a key on it. Downloading as I write this. :)

I had it when i had all 4 wisdom teeth out at once in the hospital. They wheel you into the OR on a gurney, put you on the table (which is FREEZING COLD, i was shivering like crazy), then they stick the IV in you. This hurts very mildly. Then when they get ready to start the drip, they'll tell you something like "this may burn a bit," but i didn't feel a thing. "try to count down from 10" the doctor told me. I got to 8 when I was like "damn this hits you hard." It felt like just falling asleep, really hard. And then I was out, and the next thing i knew i was in the recovery room, trying to eat some ice.

I think they also fixed Addressbook. I don't remember it looking quite like that. Had to resync my contacts. Also made me resync my bookmarks.

officially supporting the iPhone requires a little custom work on the part of the carrier. People have been unlocking iPhones for years now and putting them on T-Mobile, but the Visual Voicemail feature is non-functional when you do that.
If T-Mobile isn't expressing any interest in changing things on their network just to support this one phone, that could be a sticking point right there?
The larger carriers like Verizon or Sprint have more resources available to do things like this.
It took a "research firm" to figure this out? I don't know why people were expecting Verizon to get it before T-mobile. All carriers will get it eventually but it makes only sense that the one also using the GSM network will get it first.

I have used a Moto Xoom. Honeycomb requires you learn a new user interface. Instead of a nice seamless experience where you can get right in to using apps, you have to learn about the literally 3 or 4 different ways to trigger, dismiss, and access apps. If they're utilities, they're accessed one way. If they're apps, you've got an app menu and a desktop-style metaphor to try-- either works. It's confusing as hell. I mean, you can LEARN anything, but why would you want to.
Bottom line-- a Xoom is $800, it's far less functional, and it's far more confusing to use.
imo, if you've used any type of gadget before.. it's pretty easy to learn honeycomb within 5 mins of using it. hell i find it easier to use than a vcr. i think that some apple users, and i'm not saying you specifically, are just so used to ios or osx, that in a way.. before even trying out a new device.. they already pre judge it or are even biased.

(Side note: Having listened to it for the first time on this flight, I really appreciate airlines that put the air traffic control traffic on one of the audio channels. It was neat -- and somewhat comforting -- to know exactly what my pilot was doing up there.)United is the ONLY airline that does this.
